Work Experience

The following is a listing of my professional experiences and past positions. Each of these roles were unique and all contributed to both my personal and professional development as a journalist.

Good MORNING AMERICA - Associate Producer 

 November 2019 - Present

Good Morning America is the highly rated morning news show for ABC. The GMA Associate Producer is responsible for producing video pieces each night for air the next morning. Responsibilities include scripting, shooting, booking, and producing in the edit room – all in a very short amount of time. The AP is also assigned to contribute to complicated live and tape events for the broadcast as well as in-studio segments.


January 2018 - April 2018

The Pennsylvania Avenue and Global Affairs Units are located in the ABC News Washington D.C. bureau. While working for both units, I had an assortment of responsibilities. I assisted with daily editorial research, reporting and writing for all platforms. When needed, I also helped with logging tape and writing interview transcripts. I attended press conferences and hearings that took place at the Capitol, the Pentagon, and other prolific venues. I also assisted with spot production for television and digital broadcasts.

Nightline - Production Intern

May 2018 - August 2018

Nightline is a part of the award-winning ABC News team. While interning with Nightline, I assisted with daily with logging elements, and I went on shoots. I also assisted with administrative duties within the office. In addition, I received exposure to all aspects of story development and production and I participated in editorial meetings.

WHOV, Hampton - Reporter/Producer/Anchor

September 2016 - December 2017

WHOV is the student-run newscast at Hampton University. While working on the newscast, I constructed packages as a general reporter. I shot, wrote, and edited new packages every week. I was also responsible for crafting scripts and editing video as a producer.  While telling my stories, I conducted interviews with officials and community members. When I am not reporting, I am anchoring the newscast as well.

Strahan Sara & Keke - Production Associate 

January 2019 - March 2019

Strahan and Sara, hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines, is the new third hour of Good Morning America which debuted in the fall of 2018. While working with Strahan and Sara, I support the producers with shooting, research, tape, graphics, and booking. I also prep video and still elements for tape and live segments for broadcasts. In addition to prepping elements, I also assist the producers with tape and live production.

WRTV, Indianapolis - Intern

June 2017 - August 2017

I spent three months with the Scripps owned RTV6 news station as an intern. During my internship I reported on multiple news stories daily. I was with a photographer on most of my stories, but I also was able to shoot video while I was reporting. When I worked at the assignment desk, I confirmed information for stories and communicated with the public information officers of a number of organizations and institutions. I also contributed to the production of the evening newscasts by writing scripts and cutting video.

WDTN, Dayton - Intern

June 2015 - August 2015

I spent three months with the Nexstar owned Channel 2 news station as an internship. I spent a large amount of time assisting with reporting and interviews by setting up the camera and microphones. I also made sure all of the shots were correctly formatted and in frame. During morning editorial meetings, I contributed story ideas and different reporting angles for those stories. For packages, VOs and VOSOTs I wrote scripts and edited video.
